History, character and charm
La Pérouse
Overlooking the Mediterranean from its high perch, La Pérouse is a historic structure carved into Castle Hill in Nice. It is in this luxurious seaside 4-stars hotel, which first opened its doors in 1936, that French and international travelers alike live out their dreams of spending time in the French Riviera.
Facing the hotel, the sunny façade calls to mind the golden light and time-honored architecture of Provence, as well as the region’s craggy geology. Behind you is the endless blue for which the Côte d’Azur is so aptly named. Stepping into the lobby, you immediately feel at home and at ease.
Standing out from the vast properties that dot the Promenade des Anglais, this atypical boutique hotel resembles a grand seaside manor. In this little corner of paradise, first-time visitors encounter repeat guests while the friendly staff sees to everyone’s comfort.
The house is named after Jean-François de Galaup, comte de La Pérouse, paying homage to this intrepid 18th-century French navy officer who led expeditions around the world and welcoming modern explorers – whether they travel by sea or by land.
We thus invite you to find our unobtrusive doorway along the Promenade des Anglais and spend time in this peaceful natural haven, with the very best of Nice right on our doorstep.
La Pérouse is a magical place. It has everything we love: incredible views, an ideal location, and plenty of surprises.
